Lodge Life

Beyond the beach, there's plenty to do

The island sets the pace. We just help you make the most of it.

Pure relaxation,
right on the island.

Unwind completely with a 50-minute Malagasy massage in an open-air setting steps from the beach. Using fragrant Malagasy essential oils, this soothing experience brings together island botanicals, skilled hands, and the sound of the ocean. It’s one of those moments that turns a good holiday into a great one.

Massages are available daily from 08:00 to 18:00 and must be booked in advance through reception. Our rotating team of masseuses brings skill and care to every session.

Island finds
and everyday essentials.

The lodge boutique is a convenient stop for upmarket souvenirs and locally made crafts — a nice way to take a piece of the island home. You'll find handwoven baskets, carved wooden pieces, printed fabrics and local artisan items.

We also stock everyday essentials for guests who've forgotten something: toothpaste, deodorant, shower gel and other basics. No need for a boat to Nosy Be for the small things.

Open daily. Ask at the front desk for access.

Slow down to island speed

Beach loungers & hammocks

Find a spot and let the day pass. Hammocks and sun loungers are available throughout the lodge grounds and directly on the beach.

Snorkelling

The house reef is right off the beach. Snorkelling gear is available to borrow. We'll show you the best entry points when you arrive.

Book exchange

A well-stocked shelf of books in multiple languages. Borrow one, swap one, leave one, however it works for you.

Games & social areas

Beach volleyball, pétanque and beach games — there's always something to pick up or put down again.

Sunset watching

The western-facing bar deck gives one of the best sunset views on the island. Join other guests as the sky changes.

Explore the island

The island is small enough to walk in an afternoon. Ask the team for the ylang-ylang walk route, a favourite among guests.

Come and see for yourself

No two stays are the same. The rhythm of Sakatia changes with the season, the tide and who you are when you arrive.
